SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture and breeding. In the method the samples are evaluated in the mixture with cereal and mixed herbs components in collection nurseries on a range of agronomic characters. And the original samples are selected in natural phytocoenoses with dominated mixed herbs and cereal flora in the presence in source forms of at least 3-5 generative stems and 10-15 flowering heads, with more than 7 internodes.
EFFECT: method enables to enhance the quality of selection of original samples on which basis a new variety for overseeding is created.
