SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and pharmacology, and represents the use of a mixture of probiotic lactic acid bacilli and bifidus bacteria in preparing a composition to be introduced in females at least in the third trimester of pregnancy for preventing gestational diabetes wherein the probiotic lactic acid bacilli are Lactobacillus rhamnosus CGMCC 1.3724 and the probiotic bifidus bacteria are Bifidobacterium lactis CNCM 1-3446.
EFFECT: invention provides reducing a risk of developing gestational diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance in pregnant women.
