APPLICATION OF NUTRITIONAL COMPOSITIONS WITH LOW PROTEIN VOLUME Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A23L33/00 A23L33/17 A23C9/20

Abstract RU 2638323 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to the use of a nutritional composition with a low protein volume in an infant born to a mother without obesity and overweight. A nutritional composition containing sources of protein, lipids and carbohydrates is provided, the protein content being less than 1.8 g/100 kcal, and the energy value of the composition is 600 to 680 kcal/liter. The composition is administered to a baby born to a mother without obesity and overweight in the first year of the baby's life to reduce the risk of metabolic syndrome, increased body weight gain, increased fat deposition, overweight, obesity, insulin resistance, impaired glucose tolerance or diabetes in the said baby in later life. Nutritional composition is used in the first year of life of the above-mentioned baby to achieve a hormonal profile, more similar to that of infants who are breastfed. Alternatively, the nutritional composition is administered to a baby born to the mother without obesity and overweight in the first year of life to reduce the protein load on the infant's immature organs.

EFFECT: maintaining of the baby's growth rate close to the growth rate of a baby of the same age who is breastfed.
