FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ore suspension separation at dressing and metallurgical works. Proposed unit comprises polyhydrocyclone unit with distributor, electrically driven pump unit, suction and discharge pulp pipes, sump, water supply system, two-level ACS. Every hydrocyclone includes tapered cylinder casing with intake at its top communicated with pulp distributor via feed branch pie, cover with drain branch pipe, and sand bed. Hydrocyclone casing cylinder section ID is 2.7-3.3 times larger than drain branch pipe OD. Drain branch pipe cross-section area makes 1.05-1.75 of that of feed branch pipe and is 3.3-90 times larger than that of sand bed outlet channel at taper angle of casing bottom making 14-18 degrees. Sump is connected with water supply system to allow changing over to pulp wash-out, while turbine pump is communicated with water supply system to allow after-outage rinsing.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality, power savings.
