FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to finishing reamers. Proposed head comprises porting balls arranged in separator to run therein, between two ball bearing housings fitted on axle with set nut fitted on its end to clamp the spring thrusting against cover. Note here that magnetostrictive hollow waveguide with taper section is fitted on rod to displace thereon while porting balls arranged in separator are fitted on waveguide taper section and clamped between two thrust bearings abutting against bushes clamped by nut. Note here that said magnetostrictive waveguide is connected with ultrasound oscillation generator.
EFFECT: higher surface finish.
