SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil extraction and refining, particularly to processing and recycling oil sludge contained in sludge collectors by separating oil sludge into oil products, water and mechanical impurities. The method involves collecting oil sludge simultaneously in two streams: collecting the top layer of oil sludge primarily containing oil products, and collecting the bottom layer of oil sludge first washed with water and primarily containing water with a bottom sediment. The top layer of oil sludge is first separated from coarse mechanical impurities on a filter. Oil products are then separated from the remaining mechanical impurities and water on a centrifuge and the bottom layer of oil sludge washed with water is fed to a vibrating sieve, to which mechanical impurities with water separated on the filter and the centrifuge are also fed. Oil products with water separated from the top and bottom layers on the vibrating sieve are settled in a vessel, with subsequent purification of water separated in the vessel in a hydrocyclone and the oil product layer is separated from mechanical impurities on a centrifuge.

EFFECT: faster process of recycling oil sludge and high efficiency of said process, with simultaneous reduction of environmental pollution and fire and explosion hazard.
