FIELD: petroleum production and processing. SUBSTANCE: in order to prevent environment to be affected by wastes originated from processing of oil residual owing to increasing degree of the waste separation and cleaning mazut- polluted solid particles, oil residual is subjected to action of centrifugal force, temperature, and demulsifiers, whereas ground is detoxified by agency of microorganisms and fungus inoculate. To achieve it, demulsifier-treated and heated to 40-50 C oil residual is separated through settling procedure into four phases: petroleum product, aqueous phase, water-residual suspension, and mazut-polluted solid particles (ground). Petroleum product is then treated with demulsifier, heated with steam, centrifuged, and heated further to 90-98 C followed by separation and withdrawal of purified oil. Aqueous phase is withdrawn and entered into slurry tank to scour bottom sediment. Water-residual suspension is used as nutrient medium for growing microorganisms. Mazut-polluted solid particles, when washed with hydrocarbon solvents and steam, are introduced into water-sediment suspension with grown microorganisms and detoxified at 30-35 C for 2-3 days under aerobic and then anaerobic conditions, whereupon, to thus treated medium (ground), fungus inoculate is added, cultured, fungus biomass thus produced is separated, and cleaned ground is withdrawn.
