SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engobe compositions which can be used in making household ceramic articles. The engobe contains the following components in wt %: white-burning clay - 66.3-78.9; ground scrap window sheet glass - 10.0-15.0; colouring additive - 1.0-10.0; sulphite-alcohol wort - 0.7-1.1; zircon - 5.0-8.0.
EFFECT: high heat resistance of the engobe.
