FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engobe compositions which can be used in making household ceramic articles. The engobe contains, wt %: white-burning clay 67.0-77.0; scrap window sheet glass 6.0-8.0; colouring additive 1.0-10.0; bone ash 10.0-16.0; alumina 2.0-4.0. The engobe has heat resistance of not less than 150°C. Articles with the engobe are fired at 1000-1150°C.
EFFECT: high heat resistance of the engobe.
