FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine (ICE) has two outlet valves (4, 10) that connect the cylinder to different manifolds (11 and 13 respectively). Valve (4) opens, as usual, to lower dead point of combustion stroke cycle. The main part (up to 95%) of exhaust gases that enter neutralisation and damping system leaves through it and high pressure manifold (11). The above valve closes at the end of exhaust cycle and outlet valve (10) opens. Exhaust gases are blown down to atmosphere through it and low pressure manifold (13). Transverse perforated partition (9) helps improve the blowdown quality. It is installed between inlet and outlet valves, adds additional flow resistance to blowdown air on the shortest way from inlet to outlet valve and makes the air move to a great extent in a circumferential direction of combustion chamber, thus blowing down residual gases from there. Additional negative pressure at manifold (13) outlet is created with vacuum pump (14) that is driven from belt of generator or cam shaft.
EFFECT: reduction of toxicity level of combustion products and increase in specific power.
