FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: in a shell and multi-tube heat exchanger, which comprises a body, inside of which there are cooling and heating chambers, equipped with nozzles of input and output of hot and cold coolants, with thermal pipes arranged in it in a staggered order, zones of evaporation, transport (wick) and condensation of the cooling and heating chamber are separated from each other with a partition, through holes in which thermal pipes are pulled, every of which is equipped with lifting wicks and a lattice covering the inner side and end surfaces of thermal pipes and arranged from strips of capillary material forming cells, besides, lifting wicks stretching via centres of thermal pipes touching their end surfaces, do not touch their inner side surface, and each thermal pipe is separated inside with a partition into a zone of evaporation located in the cooling chamber, and a zone of condensation located in the heating chamber.

EFFECT: improved reliability and efficiency of a heat exchanger.
