FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: diagnostic technique for cattle leukaemia, detection of animals showing a positive result in an immunodiffusion test, a haematological method of examination, determination of a T-lymphocyte percentage by spontaneous rosette formation with bovine erythrocytes (%E-ROK). Additionally, blood is examined for the T-lymphocyte percentage after incubation with levamisole in the final concentration of 0.5 mcg/ml by spontaneous rosette formation with bovine erythrocytes. It is followed by calculating a shear index (SI) by formula: % E - ROK before incubation with levamisole at SI equal to 1, 2 and more, the animal is stated to suffer from cattle leukaemia and withdrawn from an animal stock. The invention provides higher accuracy and reliability of diagnosing cattle leukaemia. The diagnostic technique detects the animals suffering cattle leukaemia by 11.8% more cases; it is more accurate and more reliable.

EFFECT: technique may be used for diagnosing leukaemia in the animals wherein the immunostimulating agent is introduced.
