METHOD FOR ASSESSMENT OF CATTLE IMMUNE STATUS IN CASE OF LEUCOSIS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC G01N33/48

SUBSTANCE: method for assessment of immune status of cattle in case of leucosis consists in immunological test of cattle blood, definition of quantity (thousand/microlitre) of leukocytes, neutrophils, lymphocytes and most active immunocompetent cells in peripheral blood of animals: T-lymphocytes; T-killers; T-antigen-reactive lymphocytes; B-lymphocytes, quantity of circulating immune complexes, assessment of functional condition of neutrophils in test with nitro blue tetrazolium in spontaneous and stimulated versions with subsequent count of stimulation coefficient, then obtained values are investigated with the help of a computer program, with account of basic and variable values, besides, those combinations of parametres are identified, which are inherent in healthy, infected animals and animals diseased with leucosis, contingency coefficient (CC) is calculated using the following formula: if CC equals or quantity of possible links exceeds 0.24 are considered to be the criterion of functional stressing of immune system, values of basic and variable parametres of differential-prognostic table are used to identify animals with functional stressing of immune system caused by cattle leucosis virus.

EFFECT: improved efficiency and accuracy of immune status of animals infected and diseased with leucosis.
