FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: person is exposed to electromagnetic millimetre radiation of an EHF apparatus. The radiation wavelength is selected from the 3…3.3 mm range, which corresponds to the atmospheric transparency window and ensures a long effective range. The location of the hiding person is determined. The location of the EHF apparatus and the direction angle to the person are calculated, taking into account reflection of electromagnetic radiation from different surfaces, e.g., metal surfaces.

EFFECT: non-lethal striking of a person located outside the zone of direct visibility of an EHF radiator.
