RADAR PROBING METHOD USING CONTINUOUS EMISSION Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC G01S13/00

Abstract RU 2402038 C2

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: narrow-directed emission of a signal takes place through N spatially distributed weakly directional channels using N weakly directional identical antennae. The reflected signal is received by each of the N weakly directional antenna sub-arrays. Separation of the antenna excitation channels and signal reception is realised using circulators. In each of the N reception channels, a complex envelope of its output signal is formed. Matched filtration takes place through conversion of quadrature components of the received signal to digital form and calculation of the two-dimensional resultant of the received and emitted signals which are presented in digital form. As a result, the response of the radar station is formed as a bivariate function on the "delay time-Doppler frequency shift" plane which displays distribution of objects according to range, radial speed and reflection coefficient.

EFFECT: higher energy potential of the radar station.
