FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of measuring the turning angle of a shaft is based on converting the turning angle α of the shaft to two alternating current signals, whose phase is shifted in proportion to angles α and -α relative the reference signal, converting the phase-shifted signals to periodic pulse sequences ST and SP, measuring the phase shift of the pulses ST and SP at generation thereof within the period of the reference signal. The cycle of measuring phase shift of pulses ST and SP is divided into write and read time intervals which are multiples of a whole number of periods of the reference signal. Current values of the angle α are generated in form of a difference between full phase shifts of pulses ST and SP at the beginning of the current read interval.
EFFECT: reducing dynamic measurement error and wider range of variation of angles.
