METHOD OF DECREASING TREAD SHRINKAGE IN CURING Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC B29D30/52

Abstract RU 2466022 C1

FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method relates to making tire with new tread. In compliance with proposed method, tread is applied on tire carcass section that stays in contact with tread. Curing shell is arranged around the tread to make tire curing assembly including cavity between shell and tread. Tire curing assembly is arranged in boiler chamber. Pressure chamber is increased to preset magnitude. Chamber is heated to preset temperature. Cavity pressure is increased to level exceeding 14.7 psi and to pressure lower that that in chamber to ensure pressure difference. Note here that said step is started after chamber pressure increase.

EFFECT: decreased tread shrinkage in cured recovered tire.
