SUBSTANCE: patient's cyst contents are analysed for a percentage of apoptotic cells. If the level of the percentage of apoptotic cells is 52-59%, an immature cyst is diagnosed, while the level of 60-69% shows a mature cyst.
EFFECT: accurate differential diagnostic criteria of various forms of destructive pancreatitis complications.
