METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF OCCUPATIONAL FITNESS IN EXTREME ACTIVITY Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2466675 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for prediction of occupational fitness in extreme activities, e.g. in officers of Internal Affairs Department (IAD), military, officers of Ministry of Emergency Response (MER). Psychic and somatic health is pre-evaluated. If experts conclude that a person being tested is apparently healthy, neurobiological examination is performed, venous blood is sampled from 8 to 10 o'clock on an empty stomach. The occupational fitness is predicted by the use of 9 factors of two groups: 5 psychological and 4 neurobiological characteristics. The psychological characteristics are specified by two psychological tests: Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and memory for figures (MF) that is ensured by the use of L-scale MMPI values, manhood-womanhood (MMPI scale 5), rigidity (MMPI scale 6), optimism (MMPI scale 9) and amount of short visual memory - memory for figures; and 4 neurobiological characteristics: level of thyroxine concentration (T4) determined by enzyme-immunoassay - ELISA, conjugated bilirubin concentration (CB) determined by photometric test, immunoglobulins Ig E, Ig A concentration by ELISA in blood serum. A resultant discriminant informant is determined. The discriminant informant is used to state the level of occupational fitness.

EFFECT: method enables higher accuracy of prediction of occupational fitness in individuals of various occupations associated with extreme activity; reducing time and labour intensity of personnel examination and data processing.
