METHOD OF INTERNAL AFFAIR AGENCY OFFICER EXAMINATION FOR INDEX OF ADAPTATION LEVEL TO EXTREME COMBAT DUTIES Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B5/16

Abstract RU 2356496 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves testing from I.O. Kotenev's traumatic stress questionnaire to estimate the following indices: Ag factor - malingering, D factor - "hyperactivity" symptoms by posttraumatic disorder scale; d factor - "avoidance" symptoms; e factor - "hyperactivity" symptoms by acute stress-induced disorder scale. Derived factors are substituted in equation to calculate adaptation level index (ALI) by formula: ALI (standard units) = 0.679 + 0.025 · Ag - 0.025 · D + 0.045 · d - 0.145 · e. If the ALI is 0.61 standard units and more, good adaptation level is observed. The ALI 0.60 standard units and less shows low adaptation level. Method allows detecting IAA officers with low indices of successful adaptation to extreme combat duties to take timely preventive actions on the basis of traumatic stress factors, and can be also used in vocational selection of police officers to participate in counterterrorism operations.

EFFECT: invention covers examination of Internal Affair Agency officers for index of successful adaptation to extreme combat duties on the basis of traumatic stress factors.
