FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of gas-phase α-olefin polymerisation, carried out in two communicating polymerisation zones, in which growing polymer particles flow through the first of said polymerisation zones (column) in conditions of quick fluidosation, leave said column and get into the second polymerisation zone (circulation pipe), through which they flow down in condensed form. Method is characterised by the following: (a) located in column gas mixture is fully or partly protected against getting into circulation pipe by supply on upper part of said circulation pipe of liquid flow LB, whose composition is different from gaseous mixture, located in column; (b) ratio R between rate of polymer flow FP, circulating between said circulation pipe and column, and rate of flow LB of said liquid is set in range from 10 to 50.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to control circulation pipe without shortcomings, connected with supply of liquid barrier onto upper part of the second polymerisation zone.
