FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for gas-phase polymerisation of olefins, which employs a reactor having interlinked polymerisation zones. The method is realised in a gas-phase reactor in which growing polymer particles move upwards through a first polymerisation zone which is a vertical tube going up in fast fluidisation or transfer conditions. After exiting said vertical tube, the polymer particles enter a second polymerisation zone which is a vertical tube going down, through which they move down under gravity and then re-enter the vertical tube going up. The recycled gas stream comes out of the first polymerisation zone, is cooled below its condensation temperature by 0.05-3°C and then returned into the first polymerisation zone.
EFFECT: disclosed method improves heat removal in the vertical tube going up and reduces power consumption.
