FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: methane conversion is performed in presence of water with volume consumption of methane from 0.63 to 3.6 l·h-1, water from 1.3 to 6 ml·h-1 at temperature of its supply to reactor from 25°C to 120°C, time of contact of reaction mixture with discharge zone of reactor from 12 to 72 s.
EFFECT: application of claimed method makes it possible to increase selectivity with respect to hydrocarbons in barrier discharge plasma and prevents formation of carbonaceous and resinous substances on reactor walls.
