FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to piping shutoff-control valves. Adjustable straight-flow multi-pass throttle includes housing, inlet and outlet end cover plates which are connected respectively to delivery and outlet main lines, swivel wheel with actuator, shutoff-control discs with mutually fitted ends and feedthrough openings. One disc is rigidly fixed relative to outlet cover plate and housing. The other one is installed in a movable manner so that is can be turned together with swivel wheel. Inner bore of swivel wheel, in which discs are located, is made with annular projection on the side of discharge main line. The above annular projection interacts with the flange of swivel disc. Pressure-bearing element in the form of a spring-loaded ring is installed between end of inlet cover plate and end of movable disc. Unloading cavity made between inner end of outlet cover plate and outer end of swivel wheel is connected via a channel to compensating cavity made between inner end of swivel wheel and end of fixed disc. Channel is made in the form of holes in swivel wheel on the side of outlet cover plate. Swivel wheel is provided with annular projection on the side of outlet cover plate.
EFFECT: invention ensures improvement of operating reliability of throttle.
