SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical neurosurgical instruments and may be used for performing resection craniotomy in small and medium experimental animals. Cutting jaws of the device are crescent-shaped along a rig of the same radius of curvature. The lower jaw has a sharp upper cutting edge. The upper jaw has a loop slot and a sharp internal lower cutting edge. Shape and size of the loop in the upper jaw matches those of the lower jaw for moving the lower jaw in the slot. The external edges of the jaws are rounded.

EFFECT: provided straight bone shear line of the desired length and in the required direction and minimised ingress of the bone tissue fragments in a bone window.
