FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sorption processes and is intended for cleaning air of toxic substances of in automotive transport cabins, residential and industrial buildings. Air cleaning filter comprises casing with filtration and absorption cartridges pressed against casing bottom. Filtration cartridge comprises two layers of filtration material arranged between two mesh covers and composed of acrylic and polyester fibers at the ratio of 1:1. Note here that second layer includes ultra fine fibers in amount of 1-6 wt % of its weight and 2.0-4.5 mcm in diameter from fiber-forming polymers arranged on its surface to carry electric charges. Absorption cartridge consists of the mix of granular absorbers at the ratio of 1:1 including chemisorbent composed of active mix of aluminium oxide impregnated with potassium permanganate in amount of 8-10 wt % and activated black with micro porosity of 0.35-0.50 cm3/g. Note here that it is provided with central tightening stud to compact absorbers.
EFFECT: increase in dust capacity and filter efficiency, possibility of replacement.
