FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of lithium metal stabilised powder. Proposed method comprises heating said powder to temperature exceeding its fusion point to produce fused lithium metal, dispersing lithium and bringing it in contact with phosphorus-bearing compound to make, in fact, solid protective layer of lithium phosphate on lithium metal powder.
EFFECT: higher stability, larger storage term.
