FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for grinding several bearings and crankshaft journals. Grinding is carried out at center grinder with first and second sections. The former serves to grind main bearings by several wheels. While the latter serves to grind rod bearings by two wheels mounted in two spindles. The latter are mounted on common slide rest. First grinding spindle is fixed on slide while second spindle can displace by ±0.2 mm relative to first one to correct departure of size or roundness of two ground rod bearings. Said correction is performed in finish grinding by controlling second spindle proceeding from said departures registered by measuring instruments. Inclined and shaped grinding wheel is used for grinding crankshaft journals.
