FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for grinding of crankshaft main and crank bearings. At first grinding station, first, main bearings are roughed and finished while at second grinding station crank bearings are roughed and finished. At both stations said crankshaft is clamped by unpolished, for example, crank bearings. For this said crankshaft is clamped between the centres of rotary drive. Note here that clamping chuck comprises two bearing elements displacing radially which are fed to main bearing with spontaneous compensation. Bearing elements at fed position are reliably locked at chuck (43) by locking studs. Then, rotary clamping element is fed by its working end to crank bearing.
EFFECT: high precision of finishing.
