FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: systems and technologies are described, which simplify using limitation codes when rejecting requests for connection with access points with limited association, in order to specify a reason for rejection. Mobile devices may support a list of available points of access and/or groups of access points, which may be addressed during repeated selection of cells, in order to maintain the fact that unsuitable points of access with limited association are not used in repeated selection of cells. On the basis of reception of a rejection code from a point of access with limited association, the mobile device may remove a point of access or a related group from the supported list so that further attempts of repeated selection do not use a point of access and/or a point of access in the related group.
EFFECT: cells used for communication may be repeatedly selected to a more desirable point of access when staying within the specified range.
