SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, particularly pharmacology, namely an agent applied for treating acute and chronic cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic stroke and other diseases and conditions accompanied by depression of cognitive functions. The agent contains a pharmaceutical composition containing methionyl-glutamyl-histidyl-phenylalanyl-prolyl-glycyl-proline and choline as active ingredients in the following proportions, wt %: methionyl-glutamyl-histidyl-phenylalanyl-prolyl-glycyl-proline 0.01-2.00; choline 98.00-99.99. There are also disclosed the use of said pharmaceutical composition for preparing the agent and a method of treating.

EFFECT: invention enables extending the range of therapeutic agents and creating new therapeutic agents for preventing and treating acute and chronic cerebrovascular diseases with a reduced amount of the prescribed dose due to higher effectiveness with minimal side effects.
