FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to making ultra disperse metal powder by thermal decomposition. Water suspension of oxalates is subjected to ultrasound treatment at 0.15 W/cm and 22 kHz for 10 minutes with addition of 3 wt % of dimethyl sulfoxide to separate oxalates from water and to dry them at room temperature. Thereafter, oxalates are mixed with ceresin preheated to 90-95°C and heated to 280-350°C, above oxalate decomposition level, at barometric pressure. Heated are mixes of oxalates or their solid solutions.
EFFECT: simplified process, higher safety, ultra disperse particles.
