FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to protection of long-length transport facilities and detection of objects beyond driver sight. Observation system comprises multiple elements of onboard illumination mounted on opposite sides of a truck, bus, or similar long-length transport facility. Said elements double as radio communication means. Every said element comprises light source operating in daylight and pickup to define observation zone nearby said side to detect object and its motion within observation zone. There is radio signal transmitter to be controlled by said pickup to allow transmission of detection radio signal from said element of lateral illumination. Invention covers multiple elements of onboard illumination that make inventive subject-matter.
EFFECT: multifunctional application of onboard illumination elements.
