FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport. Railway vehicle comprises, at least, one first car body 102 resting on driven first wheel unit 13.1, second wheel unit 103.2 spaced in lengthwise direction from said first car body, and electric drive 104 to drive second wheel unit 103.2. Said drive comprises transformer unit 104.1 and, at least, one first current rectifier unit 104.2. Note here that transformer unit 104.1 is located in the area of first wheel unit 103.1 while the latter is located at first end of first car body wherein engineman cabin 106 is located.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
