FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an explosive emulsion composition and a method of producing said composition. The detonation-sensitive explosive emulsion composition contains an oxidative phase which contains oversaturated ammonium nitrate solution, a combustible phase which contains an emulsifying agent and a substance which reduces crystallisation temperature, specifically hexamine nitrate. The method of producing the explosive emulsion composition involves preparation of ammonium nitrate solution and keeping it at temperature of 90°C or higher, obtaining an oil phase which contains an emulsifying agent, mixing ammonium nitrate, the oil phase and the substance which reduces crystallisation temperature, and maintaining temperature of 90°C or higher for less than 8 hours after adding the substance which reduces crystallisation temperature.
EFFECT: explosive emulsions prepared according to the group of inventions have high resistance to crystallisation upon impact and/or shearing stress, high rate of detonation and retain properties during prolonged storage.
