FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves depositing nanoparticles on a depositing substrate. Before deposition, temperature gradient is generated between the substrate and the atmospheric air stream. The nanoparticles are deposited and held on the substrate by Van der Waals forces. The nanoparticles are deposited on a substrate made of finely dispersed mineral particles, containing impurities of paramagnetic stable NO3 2- centres which are sensitive to solar radiation. Contamination of the atmospheric surface layer is determined from free radical signal intensity.
EFFECT: wider field of use of chemically inert powdered substrates when detecting aerosol contamination of the atmospheric surface layer, high quality and reliability of evaluating dust pollution of the atmospheric surface layer.
