SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of meteorology. A method for passive sampling of aerosols for the control of aerosol pollution of the surface atmosphere, including the deposition of aerosols from chemically inert material on the depositing substrate, is disclosed. At the same time, the installation of a pulverator in the form of a cylinder, including a replaceable cartridge with a powder sorbent inside the housing, a lid perforated along the edge from the upper end and a fine-mesh nylon mesh from the lower end, fixed with a nozzle, is carried out within a thermally stratified air column so that its lower intake opening is located from the soil surface at a height of 50-80 cm, and the upper one is at a level of at least 2 m. A device for implementing this method is also disclosed.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides the phenomenon of turbulence and convection, which occurs under the influence of a temperature gradient in the surface air layer as a result of the daily course of temperature and thermophoresis, which occurs in the internal volume of the device when the walls of the device are heated by an external heat source, for example, direct and scattered solar radiation.
