FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: what is involved is gastroduodenoscopy with mucosal biopsy in a periulcerous region. It is followed by biochemical analysis of the biopsy material for the NO content. If the NO concentration exceeds 0.3 mcg/ml, the presence of a risk of developing recurrent gastroduodenal hemorrhage is stated.
EFFECT: method enables higher accuracy of prognostic evaluation of the risk of developing hemorrhages from gastroduodenal ulcers.
