SUBSTANCE: when realising the present method, at the first step, the property of a first feature is determined and at the second step, the property of a second feature of the checked valuable document is determined. At the next step, properties of both features are compared with each other and the difference between them is them is determined based on the comparison results. In another version, the next step may also involve comparing the property expected for the second feature with the property of the second feature and determining the difference between them based on the comparison result. Further, it is checked whether the obtained difference lies within a given range of values which includes difference values considered acceptable.
EFFECT: high accuracy of detecting counterfeit.
