FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: iconostasis is made as a shelf with elements of fastening it to a wall to place religious objects on it. The shelf is equipped with a recess and a light source. The iconostasis is made with a horizontal base which serves to place the rear and side walls. It is additionally provided with several bearing shelves parallel to the base and made with the ability to replace it on the vertical axis. To perform this operation, as well as to mount the shelves, their ends are provided with shaped protrusions in the form of a "swallow tail". The side walls of the iconostasis, located at 45 degrees to the rear wall, comprise two vertical planes-holders provided with the slots in the form of a "swallow tail" and serving to fix the shaped protrusions of shelves in them. The iconostasis base is equipped with two shelves horizontally spaced and parallel to each other which form a bookcase with four bars equipped with movable fixtures serving for folding the planes and matching the shelves. In the center of the outer side of the upper shelf a handle is made. On the same shelf in the center of the side connecting it with the vertical part of the iconostasis a hole is made in which as a light source the holder with icon lamp or a candlestick with a candle is placed. The base of the iconostasis and the upper part of its rear wall are provided with decorative boards for decoration. The side walls are covered with decorative rotary valves serving to mask the elements of fastening the shelves.

EFFECT: increase the functional capability of use of the iconostasis for placement various icons of different sizes.
