FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely, to production of steel used for making welded structures. Continuous casting is used to make slab consisting of the following components in wt %: C - 0.010-0.065, Si - 0.05-0.20, Mn - 1.52-2.70, Ni - 0.10-1.50, Ti - 0.005-0,015, O - 0.0010-0.0045, N - 0.002-0.006, Mg - 0.0003-003, Ca 0.0003-0.003, with balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities wherein content of P is limited to 0.008, S to 0.005, Al to 0.004, Nb to 0.010, Cu to 0.03, V to 0,020. Slab is heated to 950°C - 1100°C and subjected to thermomechanical controlled treatment. The parameter of steel Pctod is equal 0.065% or less parameter of hardness CeqH is equal 0.235% or less.

EFFECT: higher strength and viscosity.
