FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to fuel combustion methods in furnaces and can be used during development of furnaces and heating devices for preparation of food and heating of the room. Method providing the combustion of fuel, and mainly wood, in the furnace with vertically oriented housing, in which there are channels of air supply to combustion zone restricted with walls, consists in laying of fuel in combustion zone of furnace with further air supply and ignition. Fuel is laid into furnace combustion zone with formation of a gap, preferably guarantee one, between fuel and walls of combustion zone, at least on one side, preferably on two opposite sides; upper part of formed fuel volume is ignited; at that, supply channels of air to combustion zone are made so that air is supplied to upper area of combustion zone; at that, one main part of channels is kept constantly open; the other additional part is open as the fuel combustion advances downwards; at that, air to combustion zone at the initial and subsequent periods of time is supplied through the main channels.
EFFECT: improving furnace operating efficiency and shortening the furnace warm-up period of time to the required temperature at constant fuel consumption.
