METHOD FOR DETECTION AND AUTOMATIC IDENTIFICATION OF ROLLING BEARING DAMAGE Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC G01M13/04

Abstract RU 2470280 C2

FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of bearing engineering and is aimed at accurate detection of defects in operable rolling bearings at early stage of their occurrence, which is provided due to the fact that vibrations of the operating bearing measured in the form of a time diagram of an analogue signal of a wave process, are converted into digital data and previously filtered by the available method. At the same time according to the invention detection of impact pulses is carried out using a binary vector, which is determined in process of the following operations: on the pre-filtered time diagram of the processed signal of the wave process, two initial neighbouring vector intervals are selected, one of which is a reference interval, and the other one is a control interval, and signals available in the control and reference intervals are exposed to multiple filtration, as a result of which, after each filtration, ratios of impact pulses likelihood are calculated, being determined as the ratio of mean square values of the filtered signal available in the control interval, to mean square values of the filtered signal available in the reference interval, the calculated ratios of likelihood are compared with a preset threshold value, and probability of impact pulse occurrence in the first control interval is assessed, information on occurrence of an impact pulse in the investigated control reference is recorded as initial elements of the binary vector, and then all other elements of the binary vector are determined for all subsequent control and reference intervals, which are selected iteratively, with displacement in a specific direction, and the specified elements of the binary vector take values of 1 in the area of impact pulse occurrence and of 0 in the area, in which the impact pulse does not occur.

EFFECT: accurate detection of defects in operating rolling bearings at early stage of their occurrence.
