SUBSTANCE: invention relates to stopper for grinding wheel cover. Grinding tool comprises main part of the body incorporating the drive, reduction gear, spindle, and grinding wheel cover of wheel periphery. Grinding wheel cover is supported by gearset case including reduction gear section to that position can be varied relative to spindle axis to vary grinding wheel coverage area so that adjustable range of positions relative to spindle axis in direction of wheel rotation is limited. Note here that stopper comprises retainer on grinding wheel side to turn jointly with cover and retainer of gearset case side and locked relative to the latter. Note here that adjustable range of positions relative to spindle axis is limited by retainer on wheel side thrusting against that on gearset case side.
