FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: described is a method of reducing polymer deposition on surfaces of a reactor in a suspension polymerisation system, involving: feeding a monomer stream and a catalyst stream to obtain a polymerisation medium in a reactor; feeding alcohol containing 1-4 carbon atoms in amount of 2-30 ppm (wt) of the total weight of the monomer material into the polymerisation medium in form of a stream together with the monomer stream and separately from the catalyst stream. Also described is a suspension polymerisation system for use in said method, comprising: a reactor which is adapted for polymerisation of the polymerisation medium containing a halogenated hydrocarbon diluent, one or more monomers and a catalyst which contains one or more Lewis acids and one or more initiators; a line adapted to feed the catalyst into the reactor; a line adapted to feed the monomer into the reactor separately from the catalyst feeding line; a line adapted to feed alcohol into the reactor separately from the catalyst feeding line.

EFFECT: reduced deposition of a polymer film on reactor walls.
