FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: tongue and groove connection comprises a tongue and groove ledge and a tongue and groove grip made of rolled profiles. The tongue and groove grip is made as welded from two rolled profiles, every of which has a cross section in the form of a letter F, in which the lower transverse shelf is longer than the upper transverse shelf and is rounded along the radius. The specified rolled profiles face each other in a mirrorlike manner with shelves and are welded with lower shelves in a butt joint with provision of a preset gap between upper shelves, and such gap is adjusted depending on soil properties by means of rotation of the specified profiles relative to the line of welded shelves jointing.

EFFECT: higher manufacturability of profiles making, reduced material intensity, higher strength of tongue and groove connection grip, provision of connection tightness.
