FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: sealing cup of rotary shaft, which is pre-filled with lubricating material, is made from elastomer with filler and includes housing, sponge with working edge, and cross piece attaching the housing to the sponge. Content of filler, for example copper powder across the cup section is not uniform from maximum value of 20…50% in working edge to minimum value in cross piece of 0…5%. Contact zone of steel shaft with cup is pre-coated with thin layer of filler metal, for example by means of finishing anti-friction non-abrasive treatment. To lubricating material there added is fine-grained powder of cup filler on external surface of working edge of sponge, as a result of which thin protective servovite film from filler material is formed in mode of non-wear friction in steel shaft-sealing cup pair.
EFFECT: invention improves the seal wear resistance.
