FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at producing nanoclusters of copper, lead, zinc and nickel with particle size of 15-50 nm. The method involves electrochemical reduction of metal selected from Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, in an aqueous-organic electrolyte solution with a soluble anode made from the reduced metal with simultaneous dispersion of the reduced metal layer on the cathode. Electrochemical reduction and dispersion of the reduced metal layer is carried out in an aqueous solution of tri-hexabasic alcohols. Dispersion is carried out through a "steel cathode-steel" friction couple under the effect of a regulated load of not less than 7.5 MPa. In the device for realising the said method, the cathode is made in form of a steel disc. A holder is fitted on above the surface of the steel disc with possibility of vertical displacement. On the under surface of the holder there are three grooves which are uniformly distributed around a circle with steel pins fitted in the grooves. Working ends of the pins are in contact with the surface of the steel disc with formation of a friction zone.
EFFECT: obtaining stable nanoclusters of Cu, Pb, Zn and Ni which are resistant to oxygen and moisture, improved tribotechnical characteristics of obtained water-alcohol lubricant compositions, possibility of controlling tribotechnical characteristics of water-alcohol lubricant compositions.
