FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves oxidation of the surface of a sample of magnesium metal in a reactor in a stream of dry oxygen at a speed of 20 ml/min at temperature of 600°C for 3 hours and cooling the obtained magnesium sample with surface magnesium oxide to room temperature for 5 minutes.

EFFECT: obtaining a superconductor in a magnesium-magnesium oxide system with high critical temperature of superconductivity, while increasing reproducibility of the synthesis results.
