FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method of unlocking in case of power oscillation in a power system includes calculation of speeds of full resistance variation for all working circuits of a remote protection of a power system and detection of a faulty circuit on the basis of calculated speed of variation. In case a faulty circuit is available, a locked remote area for a faulty circuit is unlocked. Prior to calculation of variation speeds it is checked whether the system is in a power oscillation condition, and if it is so, the remote area, the remote area, which may function improperly in conditions of power oscillation. When applying the invention, working characteristics of the remote protection during power oscillation may be improved, and the remote protection may ensure quicker operation and with phases separation, which is a large advantage for stability of a system.

EFFECT: higher reliability of a power system and safety of equipment due to quick separate disconnection of remote protection phases in case of short circuits during oscillation.
